SMS Consent

Avelluxe SMS Consent

Avelluxe uses a two-step SMS flow for private events. A host may send one initial invitation SMS to an invited guest, then future SMS requires the guest to personally opt in from the invitation or RSVP page.

SMS consent is optional. Guests can open invitations, RSVP, submit guest details, view event information, and use Avelluxe without checking the SMS box.

SMS consent is separate from Terms, Privacy, account creation, RSVP submission, and payment. The checkbox is unchecked by default.

Step 1: Hosts may add guest phone numbers and send one event invitation SMS. The message includes the invitation link and STOP language.
Step 2: Guests can personally opt in by checking an unchecked SMS consent box during RSVP, guest registration, account registration, or event participation workflows.
If a guest does not opt in, Avelluxe does not send recurring SMS reminders, updates, check-in texts, gift confirmations, or post-event gallery notifications.
Message frequency varies based on event activity. Msg & data rates may apply.
STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, and REVOKE opt out.

Example opt-in form

This is the consent language shown before Avelluxe sends event-related SMS messages. It is optional and not required to RSVP, attend, purchase, or use non-SMS Avelluxe services.

Invitation RSVP checkbox

Host-added invited contact example

When a host adds guest phone numbers from their existing event contacts, Avelluxe asks for an unchecked confirmation before sending one initial SMS invitation. This is not guest opt-in for future SMS. Future reminders and updates require the guest to opt in from their invitation page.
